Request an Intern

  • About the Paid Student Internship Program

Partners coordinates a comprehensive Internship Program that provides paid, experiential learning opportunities to disadvantaged students. Through partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits we can address the lack of real world experiential learning opportunities that are necessary for students to remain engaged in school and motivated in achieving their future goals, while preparing our future workforce. The Program operates on a "split wage", meaning that businesses who host interns pay half the total cost of an intern (94 hours paid at minimum wage). Rates subject to change as minimum wage goes up. Santa Barbara County Education Office (SBCEO)/Partners in Education (Partners) will be the sole employer, acting as HR, Payroll, etc, and providing Workers' Compensation and liability insurance.
