As a member of the Internship Placements Committee, you play a critical role in ensuring that every high school student goes on to secure an 80-hour paid internship with a local employer, after successfully completing our 8-week Job Readiness Training
Commitment: Due to the year-round nature of placing interns, we ask members to commit for a minimum of 6-months at a time. Because much of the placement work occurs through ongoing networking and outreach, our meeting model is to hold two brief check-in meetings held every other Thursday from 9-9:30 a.m. We work swiftly through agenda items, reporting on progress made, reviewing current placement needs, and delegating new action items.
Requirements: Before attending the first meeting, new members participate in a 30 min-1 hour-long program orientation.
