FAQs

How much do interns earn?

They earn whatever the current minimum wage is at the time.

The current cost per intern is around $900. For an 80-hour internship, this means your contribution is well under the minimum wage–you’re getting a deal AND making a difference!

We have ideas! We have years of experience coordinating internships and can help you plan for an intern.

We do this because we employ minors and want to protect them, our program, and your organization to the best of our ability. Background checks help ensure we are fulfilling California Education Code’s strictest guidelines.

That’s ok! Our younger high school students are incredible, but we understand the restrictions some employers face and we have a sizable group of 18+ candidates in our hiring pool.

Our team is here to support you and your intern throughout the internship. In addition to reading the feedback you provide via routine performance evaluations, we also visit interns about halfway through the internship and stay in regular communication with them between pay periods. Let us know what is going on and we will help!

Thank you so much! As costs increase, especially the minimum wage, it is getting harder for us to cover the portion of the expenses that we do. Your gift makes a difference and you can donate here.

We have many students on a waiting list for internships.
